Description

She's a travel writer, rarely does the basic press junkets but was on this one as a last min replacement and thus had no idea that the owner of this luxury resort is Finn, the one who got away so many years before. Whilst it is your standard love story, I think it’s the first I’ve read where the main character is disabled and I think it was handled really well throughout. It was mentioned, along with the difficulties she faced but I also loved how it really captured how she felt when people did things for her assuming she wasn’t capable of anything. I know the fake dating trope isn’t for everyone but I actually quite enjoy it! The ‘will they won’t they’ aspect does always infuriate me a little though, but I find that happening to me with all romance novels. This was great easy reading after a long day. Sometimes I found myself losing focus but that may have been because of how busy my life has been lately.

Toffolo also writes the character of Finn, as showing weaknesses, owning up to his mistakes and also being vulnerable, which is a twist to your usual male lead. But, I really enjoyed this role reversal and couldn't put the book down. So in some ways I feel it was fitting that I was reading this during the Paralympics, and just love Zoe's attitude to life. A book with a huge heart, a dreamy location and a fabulous heroine, Meet Me in Tahiti is the very definition of romance. Sweet, funny and full of zest for life - I adored it!'

Unwrap and enjoy this Christmassy treat of a read' Mandy Baggot, bestselling author of My Greek Island Summer This is the third book in Georgia Toffolo’s ‘Meet Me’ series and I have really enjoyed them all so far, I still think Meet Me in London was my favourite but I’ve got a feeling that book 4 May top it… Meet Me in Tahiti arrived and I promptly devoured it! I fell in love with Finn and Zoe. I didn’t want it to end. Each book in this series has gotten better and better.’ Sherryl Woods bestselling author of Sweet Magnolias When Victoria and Oliver literally run into each other the encounter leads to a formal agreement between them- if Victoria will 'pretend' to be his 'temporary' girlfriend, he will help get her designs noticed.

Naturally, the arrangement hits a few snags- for starters, the couple really do have an undeniable chemistry which tempts them to remove the word ‘pretend’ from their arrangement. But, the ‘temporary’ part will arrive all too soon, and the last thing Victoria needs is another broken heart. However, it does get serious at certain points, highlighting the disadvantages within the main character's disabilities, the things people have said to the pity she sees in people's eyes as they look at her to the extreme of wanting to wrap her up in cotton wool and keep her safe. Finn has 5 days to prove himself to Zoe; to try and make up for the things that were said and to show her he is the one. There is a very full cast of characters in this book- more than I am normally comfortable with, but the author balanced things quite well, and I’m thinking this book could be an anchor for subsequent installments, since Victoria has a few old friends who deserve a story of their own someday. Rooftop Rendezvous is another of the Baked Powder Highlighting Trio that I tested. This is another gorgeous trio when it comes to highlighting shades for anyone with a warm complexion. The first shade is a mauve-plum along with a shimmering beige and white color gleaming with traces of pink and violet through it. Zoe is a journalist and paraplegic writing about Poerava Resort in Tahiti. But what she doesn't realise is that the owner of the resort is actually Finn Doherty; the man who she was in love with 10 years ago. The love story is very different from the first two books with it being a "second chance at love" so although it does follow a very similar structure, it still feels like an original story, with Zoe and Finn already having a history from which resolutions need to be made.

A tender, beautiful book about missed chances, hope and true love. I was rooting for Zoe and Finn from the very beginning.' Cressida McLaughlin, author of The Cornish Cream Tea Wedding Toffolo writes about Zoe's disability very well; describing how items have been catered to someone or this disability, not only feeding the narrative but also bring awareness to the reader. Having read (and loved) the two previous books in this series, I couldn't wait to travel to Tahiti to meet fabulous and fearless Zoe, our next leading lady. Zoe Taylor comes from a small seaside village, Hawkes Cove, England and has been fighting for her independence practically from birth from her parents and everyone in the village, during her teenage years she has the biggest crush on the local bad boy Finn which again everyone jumps in to protect her, when at eighteen she is in a car accident that leaves her in a wheelchair Zoe becomes even more determined to live her life the way she wants and moves to Australia and becomes a travel writer. Life as she knows it is going to change again when she meets up with bad boy Finn at one of his resorts in Tahiti, and that crush is still there.

This series is definitely what I’d class as my comfort reads. You know exactly what you’re going to get but it doesn’t matter because they just make you smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside. Together, they just fit like a puzzle. Zoe and Finn just balance each other out so much, and although there may be times where sometimes fear takes over their senses, they just know the other is there. After years of heartache, they finally overcome the past and start living in the present. They just love each other so much, and it’s that one of a kind, once in a lifetime love you can never replace. A book with a huge heart, a dreamy location and a fabulous heroine, Meet Me in Tahiti is the very definition of romance. Sweet, funny and full of zest for life – I adored it!' The third romance novel from TV personality Georgia Toffolo (better known as Toff), following Meet Me in London, and Meet Me in Hawaii, sees travel writer Zoe having to deal with life-changing decisions, something she’s more than familiar with. After a car accident left her unable to walk, and having had her heart broken by bad boy Finn (with her wealthy, protective parents a constant presence), she’s now based in a luxury Tahitian resort for work. And then Finn reappears in unexpected circumstances, and Zoe has a whole lot of soul-searching on her hands.
