About this deal

A refreshing look at Aspergers and a real lifeline for parents (me included) and siblings who lives have been touched by someone special. SO pleased with the time scale on this product t was worried we may not have it for Christmas so very relieved. One person who looked slightly unimpressed had to be dad when the fairy accidentally on purpose flew at his head at speed (I really should leave the flying to the kids… Evil laugh! A little over a month ago I blogged about the fact that I was considering getting the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy. I think the Flutterbye would be great amongst a group of girls who could better corral the flying and control with multiple eyes and hands.

Naturally, as most modernized toys tend to, the Flutterbye requires batteries, and a considerable more amount of patience than the fairy projectile device of my kinder-years. This should turn on the fairy’s rainbow lights, which is your indication that she is ready for flight.

I had a look at the instructions and added the batteries, it does require 6 x AA batteries that are not included. PCMag is obsessed with culture and tech, offering smart, spirited coverage of the products and innovations that shape our connected lives and the digital trends that keep us talking.

Both of my children are younger than the recommended age but I have been supervising them while they play with it.You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

We did knock a fair few ornaments over in the process of learning how to use it though so do clear some space! The connection occurs at a bit of a strange angle; it took me a minute or two just to figure that part out. Both my daughters have been playing with this, they have been having contests to see who can make the fairy fly the longest without hitting the ceiling or wall and it has entertained them for a long while so far. Very dissapointed especially as i got the blue one from the US so it will be difficult to send back. This was all my daughter asked for for Christmas and while I will admit it worked for a good hour it refuses to now budge from its base, new batteries didn’t sort it, it just sits there. The first red flag went up when I discovered the recharging station takes a whopping six AA batteries. It reminded me of when you have a fly in the house and the thing finds a corner of the ceiling and repeatedly crashes into the walls trying to escape.
