About this deal

You will likely get higher effective brightness than that in spots and details, by the nature of HDR and the panel. accommodates gaming consoles that support the 16:9 aspect ratio at 120 Hz, which means only 2560x1440 pixels.

SInce doing the power testing, I've found I prefer HDR 1000 in games that support HDR and have left it on over HDR 400 True Black but this is a preference thing. If you have contractual terms with Dell that refer to list pricing, please contact your Dell sales representative to obtain information about Dell’s list pricing. It was one of our favorite monitors of the year, complete with an excellent refresh rate, a wide color gamut, and Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate. The monitor also presents excellent black levels in dark rooms, rendering it a prime choice for enjoying scenic video games like Red Dead Redemption 2.This made it far easier to maintain my aim and to keep my viewpoint locked on where it needed to be. The Alienware AW2723DF has seamlessly integrated into my gaming setup, offering a visually captivating experience that effortlessly balances competitive gaming prowess with casual gameplay enjoyment. The Dell Alienware AW3423DWF is a different type of ultrawide gaming monitor compared to the Dell Alienware AW3821DW. One of my favourites is Dell's Alienware AW3423DWF, a 34-inch ultrawide that offers a fairly standard 3440x1440 165Hz spec - but its QD-OLED panel makes for a night-and-day difference against your standard VA and IPS panel alternatives, with perfect contrast, near-instant pixel response times, gorgeous colour reproduction and stunning HDR. Settings : the built in menu let's you alter colour set up, hdr etc it's easy to use and i've had no issues using it.

Image quality is generally very clear - it's sharp, with punchy but natural colours and above-average contrast for an IPS display. The Dell AW3423DWF looks like the Dell Alienware AW3423DW, with the main difference being that the plastic panels are black instead of white. Retested the HDR Brightness, HDR Color Gamut, and HDR Color Volume after updating to firmware M3B104. The Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9/G95NA S49AG95 are both fantastic ultrawide gaming monitors with a few differences. Also see our recommendations for the best ultrawide monitors, the best ultrawide gaming monitors, and the best gaming monitors. Customizable AlienFX lighting on the logo and screen size number on the back of the monitor enhances gaming ambiance. The 240-280Hz refresh rate is really good too, though coming from 144/165Hz perhaps not as noticeable an improvement as you might expect.

Even when looking at monsters and fantasy environments, the texture is so convincing you’ll find yourself reaching out to touch things like stone or metal. We’ve seen lighter, like the MSI Optix MPG341CQR, but the weight is fairly comparable across the board for the panel size. Unless you need the native G-SYNC support on the AW3423DW or want to play 10-bit HDR games at a higher refresh rate, consider the AW3423DWF, as it offers much of the same performance at a lower cost. Below you can see photos of the pixels from the Dell Alienware AW3423DW review, and the results are also valid for the AW3423DWF. Its QD-OLED panel produces better HDR performance than most monitors, including those with Mini LED backlighting like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75, but it doesn't get as bright as the Dell Alienware AW3423DW.
